Perfected Jade Kata Bracers

Artifact level 4

These matched bracers have the appearance of prayer strips coiled around the wearer's wrist and forearms. Fine calligraphy etched in Old Realm along the stone of the bracers reveals sutras of martial wisdom, and each of these artful coils has a setting for a single hearthstone on the back of the wearer's wrist. When attuned for a cost of 8 motes, the paired bracers augment any Form-type charms the wearer activates. Using such a charm causes a dramatic display as ribbons of light uncoil from the bracers and swirl around the martial artist. These ribbons vanish within seconds, but their power remains for as long as character continues to use the augmented form.
The form augmentation granted by perfected kata bracers add the character's permanent essence to the accuracy, damage and defense of all her unarmed martial arts attacks. Attacks made with weapons permitted by the style are of the augmented form are also considered unarmed. The character may also choose whether to inflict bashing or lethal damage with any of these strikes. Finally, the augmentation adds additional benefits depending on the type of magical material used to construct the bracers:

The character gains added resilience and speed, adding his essence rating to his natural bashing and lethal soak, as well as to the speed modifier of all his unarmed attacks.

Trigger: Activating Form

This hearthstone bears the rainbow iridescence of an opal glittering inside a translucent sphere. Whenever the character activates the Form-type Charm of a martial art style, the essence cost of all charms in that style decreases by 2 motes. This effect cannot reduce the essence cost of a charm below half it's original value, rounded up. Characters using a form-type charm cannot activate any martial arts charms of another style while bearing a Precision of Form Gemstone.

Opal of the Haunted

Trigger: None, always on

The Opal of the Haunted is a glistening orb of scintillating green and violet, with flecks of gold that move like shining through the forest's canopy. This hearthstone adds three dice to all rolls made by the bearer's player to detect ambush and, should the character still be successfully ambushed, adds three dice to the roll to act during the combat. In addition, the stone adds three dice to all rolls to evade tracking and pursuit.

Traveler's Staff

Artifact level 2

This gnarled staff is actually a branch from an ancient tree. It can be used as a normal quaterstaff in combat, but this is not its intended purpose, which is to provide food, firewood and shelter.
At sunset, the exalted may plant the staff into the earth and commit 5 motes. Once she does so, the branch grows into a full size fruit tree, usually apple, and sprouts enough ripe fruits to feed the exalted and several others for the evening. If he needs firewood, the exalt can use the tree branches to provide it, wood gathered this way burns readily. Come morning, she can cut off a large branch to replace the original staff. The tree will die and rapidly rot away. By sunset of that day, no sign of its presence remains, and the essence is released to the exalt who caused it to grow.

Gem of Perfect Mobility

Trigger: None

Any Exalted bearing this hearthstone maves as swiftly as a racing fire. A character attuned to the stone can take two normal actions per turn without any penalties and may divide her dice pools normally to gain additional actions. By taking both actions as movements, the character can also run or sprint twice as fast as normal. Sorcery still takes the normal time to cast, and using these additional actions makes the character appear inhumanly fast. Anyone seeing the character move or react this rapidly will know he is not human. This hearthstone is a brilliant red and glows as bright as a candle. The additional action gained from using the stone is incompatible with all extra actions charms. The character can use one or the other, but never both.
